On Sunday, August 2, 2026, the Nathan Hale Homestead was broken into, burglarized, and vandalized. Staff have been cleaning up the site, and visitors may see contractors conducting repairs over the next few weeks. Connecticut Landmarks is raising money for repairs and security upgrades.
