Suffield is often described as a “town of farms.” More specifically, we like to say that it is home to a “town of flower farms.” The Phelps-Hatheway School of Floral Arts was created to showcase the magnificent blooms grown in our small community and, for the final session, in our great state of Connecticut. All ages and abilities are welcome!

Floristry doesn’t need to end when the gardens have gone to rest! Join site administrator Lynn Mervosh and staff for a holiday bulb workshop that will brighten the shortest days of the year. Lynn will share the history of these bulbs and how to encourage a long-lasting display. Guests will be provided with a pot, soil, and a variety of mosses, and may select a bulb(s) to their liking. Instructions on care as well as tea with treats will warm hearts and hands as the holiday season approaches.
